Smoke was entered into the GSPC/SA (German
Shorthaired Pointer Club of San Antonio) on the weekend of February
21 & 22, 2009. On February 21, 2009, Smoke failed his first ever
hunt test. He was unsure of the game, only being in the field a few
times before entering. His intelligence really showed through on
Feb. 22, 2009. He figured out the game and played like a pro! He
passed his second day with flying colors! He was gorgeous to watch,
running with a fantastic female Weim, Journey (handled by Ms.
Walker). This was a nice brace at a great pace! Smoke had an
honorable mention by the judge on the field for honoring/respecting
his brace mate's point! With more exposure and experience, we will
finish his Junior Hunter title in the coming season. We plan to
continue his training to place him into the Senior Hunt tests in the
future!
The pictures below were taken by Mr. Ron Hudson
and we thank him dearly for sending us these wonderful copies!
Smoke finished the weekend with 1 pass
toward his Junior Hunter title!
On March 1, 2009: Smoke passed his 2nd leg of his
JH title. He did extremely well!! More info to come as we finish his
title soon!
On January 16 & 17, Smoke was entered into the
Junior Hunt Tests with the AKC. He passed with flying colors on both
days!! He obtained his JH title on Jan 17th with the Gordon Setter
Club of America at Holth Ranch in Caldwell, TX.
Many Thanks to the Judges, Hosts and Secretaries
of this club!
